VISUALISATION OF PUBLICATION - Projection in a club venue
I used a club venue as the visualisation location as this was the initial theme of my project and creates an interesting contrast between the internal and external feelings of escapism. This would attract people who like to go to raves/nights out and young people but would potentially throw them off guard and open up new discussions on the theme since it juxtaposes the space. Moreover, I thought it would be interesting to transform the publication into a projection, with the sound design coming through the speakers, as it shifts the viewing of it into a full sensory experience, which was one of my aims at the start of the project. The result of a large scale projection, in an empty space accompanied with disjointed sound design creates an encompassing escapade. It could be a good idea too, to have different colours of light changing as the projections go on.
I chose a warehouse-like club over a central London-esque nightclub since this feels more barren and honest, I feel like glitzy London clubs feel to image-based and artificial which doesn't suit my project at all, nor the audience I would be attracting.
